Word of Mouth (Discussion Post)
Lately, I've been keeping in touch with a couple fellow students I worked with last month in a group project. We all have the same class, but different sections of it, so we've been asking each other questions and bouncing ideas back and forth. It's helpful right now while I'm in school, but hopefully these relationships will last into my career, where we might work together some day.
And I have an interesting story about the power of word of mouth. My last job required me to move to a new town. I hadn't found a place to move into yet, so I was driving for the time being. I was working with my supervisor at the time, doing some networking with local members of the community, when one of them mentioned offhand that they had an apartment for rent. Long story short, one of the best and cheapest places I've rented. I just moved out recently, but it just goes to show how helpful networking and word of mouth can be!
